I like to illustrate my posts' texts with images, but often it's hard to find the right ones and unfortunately, my own artistic skills are insufficient to make my own.
So, it seems only natural to use image generators. Does it?
I don't think so.
Besides the obvious issues (waste and copyright infringement), I firmly believe that #art requires human perspective.

Picasso und Dalí haben sich tatsächlich geschätzt, besuchten sich auch mehrfach gegenseitig. Allerdings ist ihre Beziehung später schwer abgekühlt. Picasso lebte in Frankreich und verfügte, dass keines seiner Bilder in Museen des faschistischen Franco-Spaniens ausgestellt werden dürfe, während Dalí dem Diktator eher wohlwollend gegenüber stand.
Erst nach dem Sturz der Franco-Diktatur ging Picassos Antikriegsgemälde "Guernica" nach Spanien ins Museu del Prado, wo es heute noch hängt.
In jedem Fall sind sie absolute Götter unter den Künstlern des 20. Jahrhunderts.

Mit Recht. Wobei Picasso der Größere von beiden ist, obwohl ich ein Dalí-Experte bin. War schon ein halbes dutzendmal an seiner Lebens- und Wirkungsstätte an der Küste Kataloniens.
@mina Well, same struggle: I am writing science fiction books. And while people is soooo afraid that Amazon Will be flooded by books written by the AI, I tried to use it as editor, just to take away bad forms, or accidental mistakes. I chose the most powerful one, the nVidia one (the most advanced, wow!) and with just half of the plot, it blasted. Honestly, I think AI is overrated. It is not good enough to steal.

The human perspective comes from the person providing the prompts.
What I learned in Art 101 was that art was whatever certain people in New York, London, and Paris said it was. No one else need apply.
To me, this elitist attitude is more dehumanising than AI art.
Most art used to illustrate articles isn't avant-garde material, nor does it need to be.
