I don't like #Putin, of course. He's a mass murderer & war criminal. And has turned european security into a nightmare. Plus lots of other reasons.
So pls. keep that in mind when I say this:
Putin has absolutely outplayed #Trump at every level.
He has shown (with proof) the #Europeans/ #EU that the #USA is clearly no reliable partner for them, will never come to their defense & is willing to pressure them to act against their interests.
This has dimished the #US.

@berlinfokus Actually my president’s visit to Trump might have done some good.
Today Trump ’was angry’ at Putin.
Maybe Stubb said something right during their golf session.
But this is Trump. He thinks whatever the last person he spoke told him.
I’m sure his project 2025 handlers will set hin back on track to ally with Russia in a couple of days.
I also think your presidents visit to #Trump did some good & was very important.
But different than most think. I believe that it was a distraction and he was pulling the attention from something else. In consultation with the other European Powers.
But I don't know exactly what it is.
Only that, starting with the Ukrainians in Feb., there have been some delegations coming & going to #China.
Including a visit of Putins "Joker" (#Shoigu) and France.

@berlinfokus Unfortunately the main problem of Ukraina right now is that United States is for at least the next 4 years effectively being led by a child, who must be pampered and swayed with the best of each party’s ability.
Then there are these competing factions who try to swing the child to their favour.

The adults in the room (the world) will make a just and lasting peace in (for) #Ukraine even without the #USA.
If #Trump has shown anything to everyone than how irrelevant even that mighty country has become if it falls out of line & tries to force its will upon someone against the interests of the other powers.
This already is a #multipolar world. Its just that the rules of that new regime aren't fully formulated yet.
But this is negotiated right now.
