@istar @ChrisMayLA6 Actually, no it wasn't. The #legislation aimed at #climate #protesters came later, under the #Tories. (I refer to, e.g., the Public Order Act, 2023: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_O; legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2023/.) The Terrorism Act, 2000, is being abused, not used, in its application to #PalestineAction - which cannot, in any meaningful sense of the word, be described as #terrorist. Clearly, the wording of the 2000 Act needs to be amended, so that it can't be abused.

A 21-year-old man living Bradford has been jailed for two years after admitting possession of terrorist documents, including instructions for making firearms, explosives and poisons. Ondrej Sidelka, of Elwyn Road, pleaded guilty to eight counts of possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000
