#PSA time: #bisexual people are still bisexual...

- if they're dating men
- if they're dating women
- if they're dating nonbinary folx
- if they're not dating anyone
- if they're dating a loaf of garlic bread

Their bisexuality is an intrinsic part of them; it is *not* defined by their partner(s) or lack thereof.

We're not "too gay" or "too straight" or "confused" or "playing the field" or "in a phase".

“We experienced a tragedy of 49, mostly LGBTQ+ people, being murdered almost 10 years ago. And so we wanted to preserve this crosswalk…Then, apparently, in the middle of the night, FDOT painted over it, with no notice, no warning, and did not tell the city. We only found out this morning because there was no more crosswalk there. It’s so incredibly shameful. Doing it in the middle of the night emphasizes that you’re trying to hide your bigotry.”

Advocate.com · FL government paints over Orlando's Pulse memorial crosswalkBy Christopher Wiggins

I don’t often celebrate a death…but in Dobson’s case, I’ll make an exception. This old white man, and others like him, are/were a scourge, filled with righteous hate for all those who aren’t exactly like them.

Wayne Besen, the director of Truth Wins Out - an LBGTQ+ advocacy organisation that often sparred with Dobson - said in a statement that he "used faith as a cudgel to bludgeon vulnerable communities, spread disinformation and inject toxic bigotry into the bloodstream of American culture". #evangelicals #christians #ConservativeChristianity #religion #hate #bigotry #LGBTQIA #LGBTQ

James Dobson
www.bbc.comJames Dobson, influential American evangelical leader, dies aged 89Dobson was considered a key spokesperson for conservative causes in US politics over several decades.

In the wake of the death of James Dobson, people have been posting on social media the statement below by Steve Wiens, a pastor of a church in Minnesota.

Wiens was not speaking of James Dobson when he wrote this — though I and many others will say it's an apt observation as Dobson leaves us, with a campaign of "Christian" hate laser-focused on LGBTQ human beings as his primary legacy.
