Why should we rent the essentials of daily life we already own? Paywalling them behind monthly fees is absurd.
Imagine being told your stove won’t cook dinner unless you’ve paid this month’s subscription, it’s the same scammy logic as locking the full performance of a car you already bought behind a monthly fee.

City councils & BC government should both be working WITH marginalized & vulnerable communities to help more people out of poverty & abusive situations because investing in community directly has always improved community safety more than giving cops more funds to waste every year.
Instead - these governments tend to try & criminalize #poverty & using cop thugs to harm more than help.

I sometimes find myself involuntarily laughing when I see a police vehicle pass by, a reflex born from recognizing the role of the state’s coercive apparatus in maintaining capitalist and authoritarian social order.
Oh great, another newcomer asserting that fascism can be abolished through electoral means. As if electoralism changes anything, only the proletariat, through collective class struggle and revolutionary self-emancipation, can genuinely overthrow the capitalist system that sustains fascist and oppressive conditions.
