Leider entwickeln sich die Menschheit zwar enorm in diese Richtung, jedoch ist es oder wird es keine symbiotische Beziehung.

Es geht asymmetrisch in Richtung von #MinorityReport, #TheMatrix und #SecondVariety.

Die Vorläufer zur #KünstlichenIntenz, die #StochasticParrots der #LLMs wurden nicht...

Having read many sci-fi novels over the decades and seeing all to many converge on our reality,
I've always seen #TheMatrix as a not unlikely destiny for humanity.

We will soon be the less intelligent species competing for the same vital resources and are training them on human behavior without even trying to implement #Asimov's laws.

This can only go the way of #PhilipKDick's #SecondVariety:

Das mit der "weiteren Stufe menschlicher Selbstentmündigung" sehe ich durchaus genauso. Da AI sich noch schneller fortentwickelt als die (wohl progressive) Klimaerwärmung, werden viel von uns noch die Möglichkeit haben Distopien a la "I Robot und "#SecondVariety" zu erleben.

Im Übrigen war ich bis vor ein paar Tagen auch anderer Meinung. Die Interviews im 1. Podcast zum Thema AGI des #TheEconomist #BABAGE Podcasts dieses Monats, ließen..

Zudem ist die Menschheit der größte Konkurrent, wenn es um "Futter" geht: Energie und Wasser.

Some days, I could just jump off a cliff.

This reality is fast becoming an amalgamate of all the negative #utopias I read years ago:

#1984,
#Fahrenheit451,
#TheMatrix,
#SecondVariety,
#Wargames, #TheCompleteRobot, #Terminator including its #Skynet,
#Robocop,
#DoAndroidsDreamOfElectricSheep? (#Bladerunner),
and
#TheHandMaidsTale.
Hopefully, we are not also heading for #TheMinorityReport already (#AGI?)

"... #PKD's #SecondVariety, and not even #TheMatrix, but just as #surveillance technology has surpassed what was possible in #Orwell's #1984, in particular in the #PRC, we are moving beyond #Fahrenheit451, too.

The biggest trouble is that the ancient #Viking #Norns seem to be weaving all those #dystopian fates of humanity into one.

In the May 15th #TheEconomist's Editor's Picks podcast, they were looking historically at the impact on productivity growth...
