While most #NationalGuard commands have fast-response teams for use within their home states, the proposal under evaluation by the #Trump admin would entail moving #troops from one state to another.

The National Guard tested the concept ahead of the #2020election, putting 600 troops on alert in Arizona & Alabama as the country braced for possible #PoliticalViolence [but still *somehow* weren’t called up on #Jan6 till too late].

#Texas state Rep. John Bucy III (D) blamed Republicans for the incident, saying in a post on X that their rhetoric has endangered the Democratic lawmakers.

It’s the latest move by the Trump administration targeting attorneys connected to the massive prosecution of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack. Those dismissed include two attorneys who worked as supervisors overseeing the Jan. 6 prosecutions in the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington as well as a line attorney who prosecuted cases stemming from the Capitol attack. That’s according to people who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters. Justice Department spokespeople did not not immediately respond to a message seeking comment Friday evening.
