@auschwitzmuseum : Why do you not consider THIS human being important enough to mention what he did for a (future) living, before he was murdered?

Is that because he was NOT A JEW?

Interestingly, the Auschwitz online victims database (victims.auschwitz.org/victims) does NOT mention the prisoner's race - while the Auschwitz social media spam droppings do.

Said database, which was probably created by respectful humans - before the management of the Auschwitz museum was hijacked by ultra-Zionists (*) - appears to not be maintained anymore; most of the JEWISH victims spammed with one or more big and "attractive" pre-captivity photograph (by Zionist Auschwitz employees or volunteers) cannot be found in that database. They are NOT being added.

(*) Including ultra-Zionists such as Dani Dayan, nr. 2 in auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschw. Read more about this monster for example in jpost.com/tags/dani-dayan.

Anyway, most of the Auschwitz fans, hasbara boosting cattle, AGREES with Dani Dayan. Toots with in-captivity photos of apparently uninteresting men, NON-JEWS IN PARTICULAR, are WAY less popular in the Auschwitz contest for the "most adorable WWII victim" - on multiple social media platforms.

After arrival at the Auschwitz concentration camp, prisoners went through a dehumanizing selection process. Human beings not suitable for labour were shot to death or murdered in gas chambers right away. For most people it may be unbelievable what people do to each other.

My understanding of how many people SUCK BIG TIME has increased by watching this social media "beauty contest". Victims of war, being abused for Hasbara, are (approx. 80 years later), AGAIN subjected to a SELECTION PROCESS - by disrespectful naive IDIOTS.

Boosters of these spams are no better than SS Nazis (interestingly, most boosters are Germans. They learned NOTHING).

To see who they are, tap/click on the "nn boosts" text under the picture in the toot, to see a list of account identifiers such as in mastodon.world/@auschwitzmuseu.

This is not sincere remembrance - in particular while "never again" FAILED MISERABLY - Palestinians are being exterminated while the world is looking in another direction. This is dehumanizing and disgusting.

As a hiking guide, I spend a lot of time in the Alps. Many of my tours pass by glaciers – or places where glaciers once existed. They are silent witnesses to a transformation that feels unstoppable – yet must not simply be accepted.

That’s why I support the #1400reasonstoact campaign by Protect Our Winters Switzerland. It matters to make these glaciers visible.

Which glacier did you last visit?

Today in Labor History July 18, 1942: 15 Norwegian paramilitary guards helped members of the Nazi SS kill 288 political prisoners from Yugoslavia in the Beisfjord massacre. The Nazis had brought over 5,000 mostly Serbian political prisoners to Norway, as slave labor, to help build defenses against the Allies. Over 2,300 of them died in Norwegian prison camps. Overall, there were over 150,000 POWs, political prisoners, and slaver laborers, in Norway between 1941 and 1945. The majority were Soviets. Author Knut Flovik Thoresen wrote, in 2013: "You can be sure that if Norwegian prisoners had been exposed to similar [atrocities], then many of the perpetrators would have been sentenced to death. Instead, most were let off with sentences more lenient than those received by women who served as nurses at the front lines."

Tied to a motorcycle and dragged: Russia likely executed another Ukrainian #POW

Russian forces likely executed another #Ukrainian #prisoner of war (POW), Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said on July 1, referring to a recent #video that appears to show the captive tied to a motorcycle and dragged along a road.

Russian kid buys his first car, repairs it himself. Cool, huh? But when he tries to register it, it turns out to be stolen.

To stop the police from starting a criminal case against him, he has to sign a contract with the military and ends up captured in Ukraine.

He was promised to be only digging threnches, but was thrown to the front with only 2 weeks of training.

They call his mom. He's one of the lucky ones, he's still alive.

My point was that Ethereum staking can be run on a NUC or even on a Rasperry Pi.
There are no ASICs here. So:

" uses |s which makes it way more polluting due to these being useless for anything else."
is completely false. misinformation.

meanwhile:
" the only thing that moving from to achieved is raising the wall to make it harder, more expensive amd less attractive for to fiddle with it."
Is also demonstrably false.

@cobordism @hyc @voxel IMHO the only thing that moving #Ethereum from #PoW to #PoS achieved is raising the wall to make it harder, more expensive amd less attractive for #SmallInvestors to fiddle with it.

Demondtrably, #EthereumClassic would at least be more trustworthy, alas that's an Opinion based off 'vibes'

  • Whether the PoS transition did save energy is debateable since #Ethereum uses #ASIC|s which makes it way more polluting due to these being useless for anything else. #Scalpers are shit but at the very least a #CPU or #GPU can be reused elsewhere…

@cobordism @hyc @voxel Noone claims that #Monero will help "#AbolishCapitalism"!

  • That would be deranged and in complete denial of reality.

What is however evident is that only #PostPrivacy #Shitcoins can do #ProofOfStake as unlike #ProofOfWork it inherently necessitates #PostPrivacy as in all transactions and amounts are public.

  • I'm pretty shure that #PoS cannot be implemented (even if #Monero devs wanted it to!) without making removing Monero's #privacy that it can retain under #PoW.

Again: I call it "least worst" for a reason; not "great", "good" or even "okay"...

MastodonHoward Chu @ Symas (@hyc@mastodon.social)@voxel@infosec.space PoW vs PoS has been debated ad nauseam already. PoS is unworkable for many reasons but most obviously because your stake is the number of coins you own. Publishing the number of coins you own defeats the purpose of Monero's confidentiality guarantees. It's a non-starter.

@hyc @voxel also #PoS inherently rewards rich users and concentrates power even more than the nature of #PoW would, as running a #Monero #node or #miner doesn't require expensive custom #ASIC|s that are going to become manufactured #eWaste down the line and can't be repurposed for anything but being the noisiest and most expesive space heaters!

infosec.space/@kkarhan/1146386

  • Or to put it into perspective: PoS implementations like #Ethereum only rewarded already abdurdly rich capital holders and wiped everyone else out due to every PoS mechanism demanding a minimum of staked coins AND even if it didn't all of them inherently reward staking more with a higher "rent" / "reward"!

Case in point: There are only ugly and filthy solutions to that problem and Monero chose the "least worst" they could: Shure it still has problems but those are at least fully known, understood and working as in 'communities can outnumber single rich entities'...

Infosec.SpaceKevin Karhan :verified: (@kkarhan@infosec.space)@voxel like all #PoW #Cryptocurrency, #Monero too does #WastefulComputing. - Unlike many others it automatically adapts #Difficulty based off total #hashrate as it enshures a constant block reward of 0,6 XMR + Tx Fees per block at a constant block time of 2mins per block. That being said Monero was explicitly designed to not be #ASIC-able in a cost-efficient manner and be #GPU-unfriendly, so it's more #decentralized and doesn't cause harm by demanding custom hardware that can't be repurposed that causes 100% avoidable #eWaste! - IOW: I's the *'least worst'* option given it's PoW doesn't incentive or reward capital holders (beyond the ability to host and have power to mine)…
