Sounds good on paper, but expensive and lock in into one ecosystem. If companies like <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Fairphone" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fairphone</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/framework" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>framework</span></a> really cared, they would lobby for introducing one standard for all components. They also open source everything. Right now looks to me like creating small monopolies at small niches. Again, it's a step forward but not entirely the product "for humanity".</p>

Grow Fediverse<p>Eureka.<br>In the last 6 months I've only gotten 5 spam or scam calls or texts total. My #Fairphone 4 is draining battery like crazy over the past few months. Surely, I should buy anew battery for it soon (software says, a full charge is around 3350 mAh instead of 3900 mAh it had back in 2021 when I bought it), but this cannot be the only issue here...

Not using it at all drains around 2%/h and simply web browsing or a short YouTube video sometimes drains 20%/h (extrapolating). Sometimes, the device is warm even when I haven't used it for hours. The Energy-consumption settings page lists cellular connection as the top consumer next to display (when using the phone). That is, even when the device sits motionless at a spot with perfect 4G or 5G connectivity. It is only bearable in energy-saving mode (1%/h).

I've been researching online and it looks like a bunch of people have that issue. Ppl are speculating it is a non-functional deep-sleep in some circumstances. I wonder if a factory reset (or switch to #LineageOS?) could help.

Did anyone have similar experience with #FP4 or even other #Android devices?

Jotkut täällä mietti sitä Fairphonen hankintaa. Näköjään heillä on värväyskampanja, eli jos haluat 50 euron etukoodin, niin ilmoita minulle, niin laitan tulemaan. Toki mullekin ropisee tästä jotain pisteitä heidän verkkokauppaan, että ei nyt ihan ilmainen lounas, mutta ei nyt ihan paskinkaan diili. Aiemmin ei ole saanut vaan ostaa mitään Fairphonen nettikaupasta.

RIP MicroSD usage on my phone. It was fun while it lasted.

My Fairphone has an issue where the SD card is often lost when switching between user accounts and the only way to get it back is to reboot: forum.fairphone.com/t/sd-card-

Today I finally just removed the card and moved everything to the phone's internal memory. Oh well. Now I have to figure out what to do with this 256 GB card.

In this case only a reboot fixes the problem. Is there any one else having this problem? What could I do to fix this behavior on A12? EDIT: I my frustration about this behavior I bright up the following question here: And why can’t I use ext4 as filesystem for the sdcard anyway? Of course, this should be discussed in the linked thread below… Sorry!
