Day 7
Greg Egan: Luminous
Originally, I planned to present a different book today, but, as #SciFi, ethics and related topics are currently already on the table, it is probably the right moment to speak about my, by far, favourite author of truly contemporary SF @gregeganSF
The book is a selection

of short stories about a variety of topics.
A recurring theme is the question of what makes us human.
One thing, I love about Egan is:
Unlike many of the masters, say Lem or Asimov, he truly cares for his protagonists. They are never just plot devices or elements to bring a message across.
They are heart and centre of his stories and novels. I love that.

Interesting. I don't know @gregeganSF .
Another one for my reading list.
I did recognize the mathematics part of the book, the #Mandelbrot set from chaos theory.
Small wonder that you liked the book , Mina

The fact that he is also a mathematician and a computer programmer gives him extra sympathy points, but first and foremost he's an extremely good writer, creative thinker and story teller.
